We received our travel itinerary to the Mission Training Center today. We are traveling to Boise on May 14th and flying out on a 1:12 PM flight arriving in SLC at 2:20 PM. We then take a shuttle bus that will deliver us and all our luggage to the MTC in Provo.
This makes it all seem so much more real as there is just one month left.

April 11, 2001
We are rapidly approaching our date to leave our home and enter the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo, Utah. We will be flying out of Boise on May 14th and going directly to the MTC. That is two days earlier than our official entry day but logistically works better for us as we have to report on May 16th before Noon MDT. We will be able to email from the MTC but not sure about Skype. We plan to keep our cell phone active until we fly out of the country on May 30th. We first fly to Atlanta, a four hour trip and then to Johannesburg, SA, a trip of 15 hours. Then directly on to Durban, about an hour flight, arriving about 8:00 PM on the 31st. We will likely be pretty bushed after that.
Our time there is 9 hours later than Pacific Daylight time and 8 hours later than MDT. When the US is off daylight savings time we are 10 hours later than PST and 9 hours later than MST.
In an emergency the Mission Office in Durban number is (031) 267-0250.
Comments or notes to us can be made directly on this blog or we can be receive our emails.
We will be able to Skype once we are in Pinetown, a surburb of Durban.
